I was born in England in the 60’s (yes one of those babies), misspent my youth growing up in the Netherlands (fortunately survived so it can’t have been all bad) and on the way discovered the joy of travelling by exploring Europe in a caravan with my folks. Finally found my calling in Asia and spent more than half of my life living in Hong Kong, The Philippines and Shanghai, China. Am currently working in the US and enjoying exploring this vast and diverse country.

I have been taking photographs since taking up photography in 1984 when I was given an Olympus OM-30, a roll of black and white film and access to a darkroom. After nearly three decades of dabbling in various types of photography and having traveled to over 40 countries, my passion has grown to both Travel/Street Photography and working in studios or homes capturing memories for people through both formal and informal portraits.

I am also passionate about helping people, both young and not so young, grow their own passion for photography through teaching workshops, writing magazine articles and spending time with anyone who wants to learn.

The images you see in my site are mainly personal works or assignments, and I hope you enjoy my pictures for what they are - moments caught in time.
